Drawing and Painting

Drawing / painting

Here, pupils learn to tell a story through illustration, documenting activities, people and discoveries. The choices involved in selecting colors, shapes, and techniques require problem-solving and decision-making. The program permits the pupils to develop and practice critical thinking skills by making a mental plan or picture of what they intend to create and following through on their plan. It provides a non-verbal way to communicate the wide range of emotions and ideas of the child. Drawing helps children improve their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It gives them the opportunity to form connections between what they see and do.
